Accessory Builder for Custom Accessories

Building custom accessories or packages through the Accessory Builder.


  • Log in with username and password.
  • Select Accessories.
  • Select Accessories Search.
  • Access the Accessory Builder.
  • Select the + New Accessory in Accessories Search.
    Note: You must have access to Aftermarket to view this option. Contact Customer Care for more information.
  • Ensure Details is selected.

  • Locate Description.
  • Enter Brand.
  • Enter Accessory Number.

Example: When creating a winter package, you may use winterpkg as a part number. 

Warning: A part number can not be changed once created.

  • Select Product Type from the dropdown.
  • Enter Accessory Name.
  • Enter Short Description.

Tip: The short description appears with the part number in the shopping cart.

  • Enter Long Description.

Tip:  Add information on each item in a package, including the part numbers.

  • Enter Fitment Notes. (if applicable)
  • Enter Disclaimer Text. if applicable)

Note:  Fitment Notes and Disclaimer Text are for information on any issues that may be applicable. 

  • Locate Pricing.
  • Add List Price.

Note: To have a free item enter the Retail Price as $0 and 0.001 as the List Price. You can create accessories as a discount by entering a negative number.

Warning: If the List Price is empty, a 0 will be applied, and the Retail Price will be "Call."

  • Enter Dealer Cost.
  • Choose Installation option.
  • Price Includes Installation

Note: Adding a labor time is optional and does not affect the retail price.  

  • Calculate Installed Price 

Note: Displays the labor time and rate required fields. 

Note: The labor rate is prepopulated with the rate from the catalog settings and can be adjusted. 

    • Locate Featured/Hidden.
    • Select Feature accessory globally to highlight the accessory.
    • Select Hide accessory globally to remove availability to purchase.

    • Select the red Next to add the Image

    • Select Choose File.

    • Locate the image on the computer.
    • Select open to upload a replacement image. 

    Tip: We recommend that the file name includes the accessory number and is unique. 

    Warning:  Images are 5MB max. JPG, PNG, and WebP format only.

    • Select red Next to add Fitment.

    • Use the vehicle search dropdowns to narrow your search. 

    • Select each vehicle to apply the accessory. 

    Tip: You can check multiple boxes or the box next to the headings to “select all.” 

    • Select the red Add Vehicles button. 

    Tip: You may remove the vehicles in bulk using the same method.

    Warning: Fitments must be updated as newer models are released; this does not happen automatically.

    • Select Summary.
    • Review the created accessory, checking for spelling and pricing errors
    • Edit areas as needed.  

    • Select red Save.

    • Select Agree, Save Accessory in Liability Disclaimer. 

    Note: The accessory will immediately be available to your customers.
